Department announces speakers for 16th Annual RI Day

Save the Date for the 16th Annual Rehabilitation Institute Research Day, co-sponsored by the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and School for Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.

To be held on May 27, 2020 from 8am to 1:45pmlocation to be determined.

We are excited to invite the following distinguished speakers to present:

2020 Brenes Lecture

Janna Friedly, MD, Associate Professor, University of Washington Department of Rehabilitation Medicine

2020 SHRS Lecture – “Getting research to improve clinical practice: It takes a village”

Daniel Rhon, D.Sc, DPT, Director, Primary Care Musculoskeletal Research, Brooke Army Medical Center

Abstracts will be accepted in the following categories:

  • Resident
  • Post-doc
  • Pre-doc/Master’s
  • Medical Students
  • Undergraduate

The abstract winner in each category will receive a $250 prize and will be selected for a 15-minute oral presentation. All other abstracts will be invited to compete as poster presentations for $50 awards for each trainee category. Case studies will be accepted as posters but will not be considered for awards. Abstract and Poster submission deadline is April 20th--submit HERE. Deadline to register is May 17th--register HERE
