Dr. Harrington is the Director of Spinal Cord Injury Services at the UPMC Rehabilitation Institute where she manages the inpatient rehabilitation service for persons with spinal cord injury, debility from multiple sclerosis, and other neurologic diseases. She participates in a consultation practice at UPMC Mercy and UPMC Presbyterian hospitals. In her outpatient clinic at UPMC Mercy she manages patients with spinal cord injury and spasticity. In her spasticity practice Dr. Harrington uses a combination of medications, botox injections, and baclofen pumps to treat patients with problematic spasticity.
