Why did you choose UPMC?
I have been very active from a young age and a personal injury in college challenged me in numerous ways, including causing me to pursue a different sport all together. I understand the impact an injury can play in a person's life and athletic career and how important the role of a sports medicine physician is in keeping our patients active. This firsthand experience motivated me to pursue a career in sports medicine so that I can make such an impact and keep my community active and healthy. By training at UPMC, I will receive a world class education by leaders within the field which will allow me to build the best foundation for success in my future career as a sports medicine physiatrist.
