Alissa Totman, MD, MPH is a physiatrist who primarily cares for patients on the Brain Injury Medicine (BIM) consult service at UPMC Presbyterian. She also has an outpatient practice dedicated to brain injury care and spasticity management. Her clinical interests include optimizing functional outcomes for brain injury through early multidisciplinary rehabilitation in the acute care setting. She is invested in educating the next generation of leaders in Brain Injury by creating service learning opportunities for undergraduates through an organization she leads called Synapse, which also organizes professional development opportunities such as the Future Leaders in Brain Injury Conference.
