Why did you choose UPMC for residency?

My initial interest in physiatry stemmed from my academic focus on Anatomy and Movement Science, but I fell in love with PM&R when I saw how rewarding it was to work with the patient population within Rehab. As I completed my Away Rotation at UPMC, I was so impressed by dedication and compassion of all of the physicians, nurses, and staff I had the privilege of working with. Moreover, the genuine kindness and welcoming nature of the entire residency program made me immediately feel like I was a member of the team. This amazing group, in conjunction with an exceptional, well-balanced education and top-notch hands-on training at one of the nation’s top institutions, made UPMC the ideal choice for me.
