Why are diversity and inclusion important to me? Because I believe that difference is valuable. We only grow if we learn from others who are different from us. Growth toward systemic equality and inclusion are at the core of my clinical, teaching, and academic efforts. Because of that, I am a member of the UPMC PMR department Diversity and Inclusion subcommittee. We lead from the front because change is essential and excellence in care demands respect.
