Why are diversity and inclusion important to me? My goal as residency program director is to train physiatrists from under-represented backgrounds in order to improve patient access and outcomes. I am a member of the UPMC PM&R Diversity and Inclusion Committee because I believe we must maintain an equitable and inclusive environment within the residency program and across UPMC.
