Cecile Verbaarschot, PhD

Dr. Verbaarschot is a Postdoc Associate in the Rehab Neural Engineering Labs (RNEL) under the supervision of Dr. Robert Gaunt. She is involved in the investigation of the experience and quality of artificially-evoked sensations for closed-loop brain-controlled prosthetics, as well as how this ICMS-injected information is communicated within and between the somatosensory and primary motor cortices. In addition, Dr. Verbaarschot investigates the relative contributions of these artificial tactile sensations, motor task performance, and visual context to a sensory experience.
