I have always been interested in musculoskeletal medicine and have a passion for improving patients’ quality of life and therefore physiatry was the perfect fit. It was important to me that I enter a training program with excellent faculty support and similarly motivated co-residents and UPMC provided both of those. I also felt that Pittsburgh was a city with all the amenities you could ever want without the expense and crowds of some of the country’s largest cities.
